Release date: 28th January 2016

Fixes and improvements:

Startup:

Double-clicking a quick-launch icon in the Windows Task Bar could start two instances of SpecView, resulting in a sharing violation sometimes
Opening a Project with many Auto-open screens could cause a hung window for a while

Logging:

Selecting a Batch Tag for replay in SV3_64 could crash when a Project is very large

Trend Charts:

Trend Chart redraw seeming to take a long time sometimes
Attempting to group a Trend Chart will now show a warning (V3 charts only). This is because Trend Charts that are grouped weren't updating correctly
A Trend Chart Clear on Batch change could lockup when combined with many Remote backfill operations

Recipe:

A rare recipe anomaly when Dynamic Attributes are used to switch a variable from one instrument to another while in recipe

Strategy Controller:

Strategy Value Events, if a new 'Value to watch' variable is chosen to replace an old one of a different type, then values were remembered and that could be interpreted wrongly. The value is now cleared if the type is changed

Dongle:

Added the message 'E17834 You must have the dongle you wish to upgrade connected to this computer' to stop attempts to upgrade a missing or broken dongle

General:

In Edit Mode the 'Action Button' menu item on the popup menu for a button that does 'Download Specific Value' didn't correctly show whether 'Auto reset' or 'Warn user' had been checked
The Line Writer now accepts File->Preferences settings for scientific notation of values (-1 to -4) and it also obeys the [DP] settings in CVTSETTINGS.INI if present. ([DP] settings in CVTSETTINGS.INI are also used by Log Reports)

Networking:

Local could crash if a Remote requested some files for Batch Replay when a temporary file had been left over from a previous run
Remote Trend Charts causing backfill when there is Alarm Color change or blink enabled can cause Local PC instabilities
A remote Computer opening trend charts that are not open on the Local PC could cause the Local PC some confusion and lockups
A rare crash with Networking when starting a new Remote connection

Modbus:

Modbus could lockup when under very heavy load (using lots of different TCP/IP addresses)
Driver Command PWD (Post Write Delay) could cause spurious timeouts

OPC:

Some OPC Servers can cause a hung window condition in SpecView, as well as poor throughput

West:

West 6400 and 4400 instrument changes

Eurotherm:

Eurotherm 2600 changes to the instrument definition for the IO Expander

Red Lion:

Red Lion a Write-with-no-answer (e.g. Gemini 4200) did not continue properly
