A chart with a dark or gray background in the plot area is normally easier to see on a screen (less strain on the eyes).
However, when printing, to save ink it is recommended to use a white background for printing Trend Charts and bold colors for the pens so they stand out more.
The Trend Chart setup box has a Tab for setting up the colors for printing:
Default Colors
• | These colors are the default colors of the pens unless the pen color is overridden in the Pens Properties box. |
• | Choosing Auto Select means that SpecView will asses the color specified for the Plot Area on the Chart tab and automatically determine if that color is dark or light and choose the set of default pen colors accordingly. |
• | The pen colors for printing with a white background can be made to automatically switch as appropriate on the Print & Batch tab. |
