SpecView purchased prior to 1st Jan 2005
SpecView dongles created prior to this date can run builds of SpecView Version 2 (& 2.5) up to and including Build 845.
Users can upgrade to Version 3 as described below.
To run Version 2.5 Build 846 and above requires a Version 2 update. The cost includes the cost of changing from a parallel to a USB dongle, if required. Order Code: SV32-Upgrade/V2
NOTE: There are no plans for any further releases of SpecView Version 2.5.

The price to upgrade to Version 3 includes the cost of changing from a parallel to a USB dongle, if required.

NOTE: The V3 upgrade will include 2 years of updates of Version 3, from the date of the first use of Version 3.
SpecView purchased after 1st January 2008
All copies of SpecView Version 2 (& 2.5) supplied after 1st January 2008, are “Version 3 ready”.
To check if your copy has Version 3, click the Help menu and then Registration Info.
Users will be able to download free updates for two years after the first use of Version 3.
Dongle Exchange
Users who wish to continue to use their existing version of SpecView but need to switch from a parallel dongle to a USB dongle can purchase a dongle exchange. Order Code: SV32-Swap
Version 3 Update Subscription
SpecView Version3 (full releases, not the Beta test pre-releases) will set the Free Updates until date to 1 or 2 years from the date it is first run. This is because SpecView Version 3 includes a free-update-subscription for 1 year for dongles purchased in 2008/2009/2010, or 2 years for dongles purchased in 2011/2012/2013.
When the update-subscription expires the software will continue to work, but it will not be possible to update the software to a newer version without purchasing an update renewal from a SpecView representative.
