Licensing of SpecView > Upgrading and Updating

Upgrading and Updating have different meanings:

Upgrading (Definition: Adding a new option to a license):

SpecView's license may be Upgraded at any time; this means adding, removing or changing options within the license, such as adding the Historical Replay option or renewing the Update Subscription.

Updating (Definition: Getting a new version of the software):

SpecView software is under constant development for improvements, new features and functionality.

To benefit from this it is necessary to download and Update to a more up-to-date version of the software. This process is not possible if the Update Subscription has expired.
