Regarding Windows 10 and 'Evergreen':

Windows Evergreen is the concept of Microsoft releasing ongoing updates for Windows rather than having large steps to new versions.

SpecView (the company) remains committed to making sure SpecView (the product) continues to run on upcoming Windows Desktop and Server versions.

We are members of what used to be called MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) and there is now a Visual Studio subscription that gives us access to all the latest tools used to build and deploy SpecView.

We are also in the 'Microsoft Insider Program' which gets us access to new Windows builds for testing before they get released to Microsoft users on the Semi-Annual Update Channel.

We can't 100% guarantee that any given version of SpecView (now and in the future) will work with Microsoft updates coming out years from now. However, we can say that we are pro-active in trying to keep up with the ever-changing face of Windows Desktop and Server editions.

SpecView (the product) does not currently update itself automatically. When new builds are released the latest version is always available from our website's download page. Note that installation of any build of SpecView is subject to the Update Subscription being valid.
