E17813 Invalid Entry

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

There is a data entry validation problem when manually creating a log report starting or ending in 2024, or when starting Historical Replay starting in 2024, which gives the error

for example: E17813 Invalid Entry 2024/01/02 08:25:00

For Log Reports (Log File Conversion):

The logged data itself is OK, it is manual log reports that are affected. Automatic log reports from buttons and from Strategy Controller are unaffected.

For Historical Replay:

This only affects doing a replay from a manually entered start time - or selecting a line from the list of log files. Batch replays are unaffected.

This error can be resolved by updating to SpecView 3.1.237 or a later version.

The link to SpecView's website to download the latest version is here.

Please ensure the Update Subscription of your SpecView license is up to date before downloading the latest version of SpecView.

Workarounds for builds older than 3.1.237:

Where it is not possible to update immediately, there are workarounds, but ultimately updating should be scheduled:

For Historical Replay:

A short-term workaround is to use the buttons such as [-24h], or start Historical Replay by specifying a start date & time in 2023 and replay from there. A longer-term solution could be done using Batch Tags.

For Log Reports (Log File Conversion):

A button can be used to create a log report where DateTime User Variables are used to specify the start and stop - to do this:

In summary:

1.        From Edit Mode (or Configuration Mode) - Open the Variables List and create two ‘DateTime’ User Variables called, for example: StartDateTime & StopDateTime and put them on the screen.

2.        From Runtime Mode - Edit the Log Report Format to go from ‘StartDateTime’ to ‘StopDateTime’.

3.        From Edit Mode (or Configuration Mode) - Create a button to do ‘Logging: Convert Specific Log File Format’ of that format.

In detail for Version 3:

1.

Go into Edit Mode by choosing ‘Edit Mode’ from the File menu.

Open the Variables List by clicking the red ‘V’ on the toolbar.

Click the ‘+’ by ‘User Variables’ to expand it.

Double-click DateTime and enter a name such as StartDateTime.

Double-click DateTime again and enter a name such as StopDateTime.

Drag both StartDateTime and StopDateTime out onto the GDW.

And under ‘Stop Time’ check the ‘Var’ checkbox and choose ‘StopDateTime’.

3.
