When an ActiveX control is being added to a screen which may be displayed on a Remote PC via SpecView Remote,  then it is important to consider whether the control is intended for use on the Remote, such as a slider control to set an instrument setpoint, then it is important that the 'Change allowed on Remotes' checkbox is checked on the Object->ActiveX Control->Link To Variables box.
