SpecView has two modes of operation:  Edit Mode and Runtime Mode.

GDW's  are created or edited in the Edit Mode, read Creating and Editing GDW's

When in Runtime Mode use the File - Edit Mode menu command to return to Edit Mode.

 

When starting SpecView it is possible to shortcut directly into Edit Mode on the last used project (missing Runtime Mode) by holding the Shift or Control key down while clicking the Start button on the Splash Screen:

Hold the Shift key down and click Start to go directly into Edit Mode with online features enabled.

Or hold the Control key down and click Start to go directly into Edit Mode offline.

 

 

To edit an alternative project click the Select/Create Project button to display the Projects box, then select the required project from the list and click the Edit Project button.

 

 

 

While in Edit Mode use the Online Features menu to select which parts of SpecView are online, for example while editing Position Dynamics ensure that Position Dynamics are not online.
