Chart Notes allow the user to add annotations to the chart:

 

 

Chart Notes are setup initially on the Chart Notes tab of the Trend Chart Properties box:

 

 

Note Color and Font:

The color and font of the expanded Chart Note. The color of the push pin is set on the 'Add Chart Note' box.

 

Show as Expanded:

Chart Notes will initially be shown expanded by default. Un-checking this checkbox will mean that Chart Notes will initially be shown collapsed (as a 'Push Pin').

Chart notes can be collapsed at any time by clicking on the Chart Note itself and choosing 'Collapse Note' from the popup menu.

 

Require re-login to authenticate contents:

If passwords are enabled then this will prompt the user for their password before they can create a Chart Note.

 

Allow delete:

Controls whether or not Chart Notes can be deleted.

 

Require Level 5 password for delete:

If passwords are enabled then this will only allow a Chart Note to be deleted if a 'Level 5' user is logged in.

The Color is the color of the Chart Note's Push Pin and also the border color of the Chart Note when it is expanded.

 

Note: The color of the Chart Note when it is expanded is set using 'Note Color' on the Chart Notes tab of the Trend Chart properties box.

 

Associate with pen:

When a Chart Note is associated with a pen the value of that pen is shown in the expanded Chart Note together with the note's text and time.

 

Always print expanded:

This forces the Chart Note to be printed in its expanded form (not just as a Push Pin) using the color as defined by 'Note Color' on the Chart Notes tab of the Trend Chart properties box.
