This Button/Strategy Controller Action turns alarm checking On and Off and sets the rate at which alarms are checked:

 

 

A rate of 5 seconds (the default) means that SpecView will check the booleans identified as alarms every 5 seconds.

A value of 0 seconds will disable alarm checking.

 

It is possible to change the default (startup) rate using: Preferences - Alarm:

 

 

When an alarm occurs the Alarm List will be displayed if the 'Popup Enabled' box is checked.
