Instrument Parameter

An instrument parameter is a value that can be read (and/or written) on the instrument.

Examples of these are: 'Process Value', "Setpoint", "Output Power"

 

InstrumentParameter

 

Instrument parameters can be of different types: Numeric, Boolean, Text, etc.

 

Instrument parameters can be Read-Only (such as a Process Value).

 

Boolean Parameters can be set as Alarms.

 

Note:

In SpecView's Help the word 'variable' is used when referring to any of: a SpecView Pre-defined variable or a SpecView User Variable or an instrument parameter.

Whereas the word 'parameter' is only used when referring to instrument parameters.
