The word 'port' has multiple meanings in SpecView:

 

•SpecView's Multiport option is the license option which is required when communications with instruments needs to be done over more than one serial comms connection or a mix of serial comms and TCP/IP and/or OPC.

 

•SpecView's communications over TCP/IP with instruments uses port 502

 

•SpecView Networking which works over TCP/IP uses port 3413
