Project / Project Folder

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A project is a saved collection of information about instruments, graphical screens (GDW's), Recipes, logging details etc.

The project name is saved as the name of a sub-folder (also known as a project folder) under the SpecView installation folder (usually C:\SV3\).

For example, if the project was called: 'Furnace' and SpecView was installed in the default location of C:\SV3\

then the project folder would be C:\SV3\Furnace\

All of the files that make up a project must be kept together as in the project folder because they cross-reference each other, so cannot be separated.

Projects can be Archived and Restored.

(In previous versions of SpecView 'Projects' were known as 'Configurations'.)
