If the computer running SpecView fails, but the files can be recovered and moved to a new computer, then when SpecView starts on the new computer it will detect that it is not the same as the old computer and will require Re-activation. This must be done within 4 days, otherwise the license will stop operating.
In this case the warning message W2007 would be shown:
(If the hardware has not changed, yet this W2007 message is shown then please contact SpecView.)
This means that SpecView is now running in Evaluation mode for the next 4 days:

The Re-activation process is similar to the original activation process and is designed to help give the SpecView license server the new details about where the license is now.
From SpecView's Help menu choose Registration Information and click the last button to generate a Re-activation request code:
This will give a Re-activation code:
However, in the case of Re-activation it is necessary to email it to support@specview.com
Because the website would give the error E2035 as below.
Once the Re-activation code has been received from SpecView by email then from SpecView's Help menu choose Registration Information and click the last button to Re-activate the license:
The license is now Re-activated and is fully functional.
